(Description)
The Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) is spearheading a €160 million initiative in Ethiopia to bridge the funding gap for climate change adaptation by mobilizing private sector investment.
In partnership with SNV, the project targets critical environmental threats—such as deforestation, water pollution, and soil degradation—by backing scalable, climate-adaptive technologies like solar energy and sustainable land management.
By prioritizing the resilience of vulnerable communities, particularly women and children, the DFCD aims to prove that environmentally conscious business models are essential drivers for Ethiopia’s industrialization and long-term economic transformation.
